The Ballysteen man was equal to the task, cooly slotting home in the 48th minute and Limerick didn’t look back from here to take a hard-fought, but deserved win.
Limerick were made to work by the Deise but second-half goals from David O’Shaughnessy and Aaron Neville secured safe passage into the Munster U20 Football semi-final on Monday afternoon.

It was a tense opening half in Ballyagran yesterday with the sides splitting just six points in the first thirty minutes. An O’Shaughnessy double had Limerick two clear five minutes after the restart before Waterford’s purple patch saw them take the advantage.
