Iris Kennelly named as Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month for March after stellar performances for county and college

IRIS Kennelly from TUS Midwest and Limerick has been honoured with The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month award for March 2022.

Limerick Ladies Footballer Iris Kennelly has been named as the Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month for March after some stellar performances for county and college.

Kennelly had a memorable March that was compounded with a Division 4 All-Star award earned during the week.

In early March, Kennelly was in irresistible form for her college as she helped TUS MidWest to Yoplait Langan Cup honours, scoring a goal in the final where she was named Player of the Match, before being named on the Rising Stars Team of the Tournament.

She continued in this vein for her county as she helped Limerick to the Division Four National League final with Offaly. And despite coming up second best in the final, Kennelly was key to the Limerick resistance bagging a couple of goals in the decider.

Overall she hit 4-6 in the League and was deservedly named on the team of the league on Monday.
