John the Baptist draw Thurles CBS in Harty 1/4 Final

John the Baptist will face Thurles C.B.S in the quarter finals of the 2019 Munster Post Primary Harty Cup.

In only their second season at this grade, John the Baptist will look to go further than last season when they were narrowly beaten by the defending champions Our Lady’s Templemore in the last eight.

They will look to follow in the footsteps of fellow Limerick School Ard Scoil Ris who are defending champions.

Ard Scoil have failed to reach the knockout stages for the first time in ten years this season.

John the Baptist’s opponents have a wealth of experience in the competition having won it a totla of eight times (Last in 2015) and have appeared in a further ten finals.

However, the Limerick school will come into the game as favourites having won each of their games this year.

If they are successful they will face Nenagh CBS or CBC in the semi-finals.
