Josh Ryan named on GAA.ie Team of the Week after stellar performance in Limerick’ promotion clinching win

The Oola man is the third Limerick man to be named on the team this Spring.

Limerick’s scoring hero from their promotion clinching round seven clash with Fermanagh, Josh Ryan, has been named on the latest edition of the GAA.ie Team of the Week.

Despite operating at full forward for Limerick, Ryan is picked at midfield in the team.

In the first half against Fermanagh, Ryan was on the end of a free flowing move that resulted in the games only goal. That was added to by a pair of frees and a mark prior to the interval.

In the second period, the Oola native showcased his suite of skills, adding three more, including efforts off both feet from play.

Ryan has been Limerick’s scorer in chief in the League with a total of 2-26 across the seven games.

He is one of two Division 3 players named in the team, alongside Liam Jackson from Louth whose side also sealed promotion, they meet in the final this Saturday.
