Limerick Pair named as Senior and Minor Munster Hurlers of the Year

After a stellar year where Limerick were crowned Munster Champions in both the minor and senior grade Sean Finn and Cathal O’Neill have been awarded individual awards.

Finn is named Senior Munster Hurler of the Year while O’Neill wins the minor equivalent.

Finn was exceptional for John Kiely’s side in 2019, winning his second consecutive All Star award last month.

Finn was named Man of the Match in the Munster championship game against Clare and barely put a foot wrong throughout the championship.

Like Finn, O’Neill was named on the All Star team for the second consecutive year as Limerick also fell to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final.

In Munster however, O’Neill showed his class and was captain on the day as Limerick won a first Minor Munster title since 2014.
