Limerick U20s unchanged for Liam O’Connor Cup final with Clare

It will be a repeat of the second-round clash where the Banner were comprehensive winners in Kilmurry Ibrickane.

The Limerick U20 Footballers will be unchanged for their Liam O’Connor Cup final with Clare this Saturday evening in Miltown Malbay at 7pm.

Shane Kelly’s side booked their place in the final with a 0-7 to 0-6 win over Offaly last weekend, adding to their victory over Tipperary in the first round.

Limerick’s only setback came against this Saturday’s opponents with Clare easing to a 2-14 to 0-9 win in the second round. The Banner had home advantage for that game also.

There are three personnel changes to that side that lined out against Clare in February, Eoin McGrath, Sean Geraghty and Darragh Murray coming into the line up from the start.

Murray and McGrath are two survivors from the minor side that were beaten in the Munster semi-final by Clare three years ago with vice-captain David O’Shaughnessy and Frank Corcoran also still in tow.

Regardless of the result, Limerick will begin their championship campaign with a Munster quarter-final against Waterford on April 10.
