LISTEN: Liz Hennessy ‘utterly disappointed’ at minor camogie decison

Chairperson of Limerick camogie Liz Hennessy has spoke at her ‘utter diappointment’ as the Camogie Association doubled down on their decision to cancel the Minor Camogie championship.

The decision to cancel the championship, which had already started in March, was met with huge criticism and saw a number of player lead campaigns to resolve the situation.

However, these protests have fallen on deaf ears.

Speaking about the decision, Hennessy said,

“We are utterly disappointed for the players, the management, parents, the clubs. We feel like the players have been let down and we genuinely thought that Croke Park might change their mind to allow these payers finish out the minor competition.”

“We were so excited when it was announced that there would be camogie this year. But never did we expect that they wouldn’t finish out the minor championship.”
