Maori All Blacks name side to face the British & Irish Lions on Saturday

The Maori All Blacks face the British & Irish Lions in Rotorua on Saturday.

James Lowe, who joins Leinster Rugby next season, will start for the Maori All Blacks in this Saturday’s match against the Lions.

Lowe currently plays for the Chiefs in Super Rugby and has scored 11 tries this season, making 33 clean breaks – more than any other player.

The Maori All Blacks toured the northern hemisphere last November playing games against the US Eagles, Munster and Harlequins.

A comprehensive 54-7 win over the Eagles was followed by a 14-27 defeat to Munster in Thomond Park, though the tour ended on a high note with a 26-10 win over Harlequins.

Lowe scored five tries on the tour, with two against the US, one in Thomond and then two more against Quins.

It promises to be a huge test for the faltering Lions who are looking to build some momentum as the Test series looms large.
