Murroe-Boher crowned Premier Intermediate Hurling Champions

Murroe-Boher have been promoted back to the senior hurling ranks following a 1-21 to 1-15 win over Garryspillane in the County Premier Intermediate hurling final replay.

Captain Pat Tobin and his brother Tom turned in top performances, Tom hitting 1-10, with Pat claiming 0-8.

Ray Ryan’s side will now make a return to the senior ranks just a year after being relegated from the top tier.

Murroe-Boher will go on to play Kilmayley in the Munster Club quarter-final in Ennis on Sunday.

The curtain raiser to the PIHC final saw Kilmallock progress to the Junior A hurling final where they’ll meet St
Patricks. They claimed a 2-15 to 0-18 win over Rathkeale in last night’s semi-final replay.
