New Balance FAI Junior Cup Draw update

The final draw for the Limerick District League section of the FAI Junior Cup has taken place and throws up two heavyweight clashes as ten Limerick sides look to make it to the ‘country wide’ fifth round draw.

There are seven Premier Division teams and three Premier A sides remaining in the competition.

Fairview Rangers, a club with a great tradition in the FAI Junior Cup, will face last year’s beaten semi-finalists Aisling Annacotty at the Fairgreen. Annacotty beat Geraldines last Saturday following a dramatic penalty shoot-out to reach this stage.

Ballynanty Rovers will host league title rivals Pike Rovers at Limerick Institute of Technology. The sides already met at the venue in the league a matter of weeks ago as Conor Kavanagh’s last minute goal handed the Hoops a 2-3 away victory.

Pike reached the final on two occasions in the last four seasons and will be looking to go one better and win the competition this season.
