Preview | Limerick Ladies Footballers face Fermanagh with League final berth on offer

The Limerick ladies footballers will be in Kinnegad for their crucial League semi final against Fermanagh.

Graham Shine’s Limerick Ladies are in for a tough contest against Fermanagh in the hopes of progressing to a league final when the sides meet in Kinnegad this Sunday.

Shine’s Ladies topped their group in Division 4 of the National Ladies Football league with an impressive unbeaten campaign. En route to the semi-final Limerick have won each of their three games to earn their spot against Fermanagh this weekend.

Fermanagh finished second only to Leitrim in group 4A with the Connacht side meeting Offaly in their last four tie.

Limerick were beaten when these sides last met, in the All-Ireland Junior semi-final in 2020 as the Ulster outfit went on to claim All-Ireland honours.

Last year, Limerick were beaten by Leitrim in the League semi-final.

However, Limerick will feel like the favourites going into the tie having maintained a 100% record through the group stages.

The winners of the last four ties will meet in the Division 4 final on Sunday April 3.

Graham Shine’s Limerick Ladies will take on Fermanagh in Kinnegad on Sunday March 20 at 2pm.
