Registration Opens for Various FAI Cup Competitions

Clubs are being advised that they can now register to enter the FAI Centenary Intermiediate Cup, FAI Junior, Youth and U17 Cups for the 2021/2022 season with all competitions beginning in September. The closing date for applications to the FAI National Competitions Committee is August 6th.

The FAI Junior and Intermediate Cups will both begin on Sunday September 12th with the intermediate final fixed for Sunday April 24th. The Junior Cup Final has been provisionally set for Sunday May 1st. The FAI Youth and U-17 Cups will begin a week late on September 17th.

The Fairview Rangers team which won the FAI Junior Cup in September 2020

The FAI Junior Cup currently resides in Limerick at Fairview Rangers Football Club following their victory over Usher Celtic at Eamon Deacy Park in 2020. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there was no FAI Junior Cup action last season while the Limerick District League season was also cancelled.

Fairview Rangers will fly the flag for Limerick junior clubs in the FAI Senior Cup this weekend when they face Athenry at Fairgreen on Saturday evening in the first round (6pm).
