RESULTS | Junior B Championships reach the semi-final stages

There were six quarter finals played in the Junior B Championship over the weekend with the competitions reaching the county stages.

Three of the four hurling quarter-finals played with Newcastle West’s clash against Cappamore moved to this weekend as the Magpies were in Junior football action. West champions Adare had too much for Ballybricken Bohermore, winning out by sixteen points.

They will play south champions Bruff in the semi-finals of the championship after they beat Na Piarsaigh by four points. Blackrock also booked their place in the last four with a three point win over Kildimo Pallaskenry. They will play the winners of Cappamore and Newcastle in the last four.

In the football quarter-finals, the meeting of Granagh Ballingarry and Fedamore was postponed with the pitch flooded. They will face off this weekend. Knockaderry booked their place in the last four as they beat East champions Knockane by two points. They move on to face Galbally who received a walkover from Mungret St Pauls. Claughaun also booked their place in the semi-finals with the city side to face Granagh Ballingarry / Fedamore in the last four.
