Something for the weekend | Limerick vs Cork, Ireland vs Italy, Carabao Cup Final

With a jam-packed weekend of sport ahead of us lets have a look at all the different games we can look forward to this weekend.

There’s lots of action this weekend in various different sports. Limerick take-on Cork in hurling, Ireland host Italy at the Aviva stadium in the third round of the Six Nations, Liverpool and Chelsea lock horns in the Carabao Cup and so much more!

Gaelic Football:

Round 4 of the National Football league resumes this weekend, Donegal face Tyrone in Division 1 on Saturday at 7:30. The other three fixtures from this division will all be played on Sunday Kildare, Monaghan and Mayo will host Dublin, Kerry and Armagh.

Offaly look to fix the wrongs of their past two games when they take-on Meath in Division 2. Down and Roscommon play on BBC iplayer at 5 o’clock while Galway travel to Cork at the same time. In the only Sunday game of division 2 Clare face Derry at 13:00.

Limerick look forward to their journey down to Wicklow on Saturday at 14:30. Laois and Antrim also face-off on Saturday evening. The next of the Division three action takes place on Sunday Longford and Louth take-on Fermanagh and Westmeath.

Tipperary face Sligo on Saturday evening at 7 o’clock. London, Waterford and Cavan host all the other Division 4 action on Sunday lunch time.

Hurling:

Limerick face Cork on Sunday in a repeat of last years All-Ireland final on Sunday in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 3.45pm.

Tipperary and Dublin go head to head on Saturday to open the Division one proceedings this weekend. Waterford and Kilkenny also play in Sunday’s games. Galway and Offaly play Wexford and Clare in the remaining fixtures of the division.

Sunday has all the games in Division two hurling with six separate fixtures to look forward to! Carlow, Down and Meath host Kerry, Kildare and Westmeath in division 2A. In the mean time London, Donegal and Mayo travel to Sligo, Wicklow and Derry.

Louth and Leitrim host Saturday’s division 3 action. Roscommon and Warwickshire face-off before Tyrone and Armagh continue this divisions action. In the final hurling game of the weekend Longford play Lancashire away.

Soccer:

Treaty United’s game has been postponed this weekend due to pitch conditions much to the disappointment of the home supporters.

Chelsea will host Liverpool on Sunday in the Carabao cup at 4:30 in a game that is set to excite. Young Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is set to start the final.

Current champions Man City travel to Everton to right the wrongs of last week and try to get their title contention back on track. Chelsea and Leicester’s game will be postponed as the home side are playing in the final on Sunday. Bottom of the table Norwich look to move off the bottom spot on the road to Southampton. Man United look to put a stronger foot forward in the battle for top four against Watford at Old Trafford.

Rugby:

Ireland are set to host Italy for the third round of the Six Nations Championship where Peter O’Mahony is set to captain the team. Other Munster men involved in the match-day 23 are Joey Carbery, Tadhg Beirne, Craig Casey and Dave Kilcoyne.

Scotland host France in a a game that is set to excite onlookers. England play Wales as both teams attempt to go two from three in Twickenham.

Leinster host Lions tonight at 7:45. Connacht will play Stormer at the sportsground tomorrow at 13:00.
