WATCH – Captain Peter O’Mahony calling for best performance of the season in front of famous Thomond Park crowd

Peter O’Mahony is no stranger to taking to the pitch against mega rich French clubs, he understands that any side with that many superstars in their team can hurt you on any given day.

The captain says that his side must focus on themselves and on gearing up for their biggest performance of the season rather than on the obvious quality within this Toulon squad.

“The caliber of player they have is incredible, big, big forwards. We can talk about them all day but we’ve got to have a good look at ourselves and put our best foot forward on Saturday. We’ve got to have the best performance of the season so far if we’re going to be in with a shot.”

It goes without saying that the Thomond Park crowd will be in full voice in order to create another special atmosphere, as they always do on big European nights. O’Mahony wants his side’s performance to match that of their faithful supporters.

“We’re going to have to match the supporters performance with our own. It’s always a factor, the way our support show up, not just at home but away from home.”
