WATCH: Ciaran Carey happy to get back to action with a win in the SHC

Patrickswell kicked off their defence of the Limerick SHC last night with a hard fought win over Adare in the Gaelic Grounds.

In the end Patrickswell had six points to spare in a 3-23 to 0-26 win.

Having trailed by five at the break, two goals from Aaron Gillane would help them back into the game.

Speaking after, Patrickswell manager Ciaran Carey was visibly delighted to be back on the field.

“It’s good for everyone to be back. It’s good for your mental well being, that’s a positive and sport is huge for that”

“Personally I was hoping that there would be no hurling but when we got the green light we had to give it a bit of a gallop.”
