The Gaelic Grounds on the Ennis Road has a long and storied history of hosting great games.
The stadium which has a capacity of almost 50,000 is the home of Limerick GAA and hosted last years Munster Final where Limerick defeated Tipperary convincingly in the final.

It was redeveloped largely in the 1980’s and is one of Ireland’s finest stadiums, hosting All-Ireland semi-finals, underage finals as well as an International Rules test.
George Lee of Sporting Limerick caught up with Matthew Potter of the Limerick Museum to look back on the history of the Ennis Road venue.
