Zebo and Munster look to bounce back after a disappointing defeat last week against Glasgow

Munster dynamo Simon Zebo made himself available to answer a few questions ahead of Munster clash against Edinburgh this Friday in the URC.

Munster’s last outing in the URC was disappointing as the red province fell short of the mark when they lost to the Glasgow Warriors. A second half comeback wasn’t enough for Munster to pull back the game after a very poor first half.

With the news of Tadgh Beirne signing on to the IRFU and Munster for further few years Zebo was asked about the Flanker/Second-Row. Zebo had nothing but praise for his teammate as he said,

“I’m even more impressed with having been with him and around him as much as I have been the last few months. Obviously he’s an incredible athlete, he’s incredible over the ball and you know his attacking, his lines of running are everything he ticks every box.

“The most impressive thing I suppose are his skills, his offloading ability, his passing ability and he’s just a really smart player.”

Zebo also spoke about his return to Munster, what its like to be back and what he he hopes to achieve with the province.

“It’s great for myself and my family, its my home club its the club I grew up wanting to play for. Having he opportunity to come back from racing and re-join the team I’m really really grateful for it. Ill keep doing what I’m doing and try put my best foot forward every week for Munster”

Although Zebo returned this season he hasn’t found too much game time in the Munster red. Now that it is the business end of the season Zebo is looking to add more consistency in his selection

“Personally I’m just trying to get a run of games and get a nice rhythm heading into the back end of the season. I haven’t played a lot of rugby but hopefully that changes”
