WATCH – John Kiely on preparation ahead of Cork clash

The Limerick senior hurlers come into this Saturday’s Munster Championship tie with Cork off of the back of a bye week following their dominant display over Tipperary the week prior to that.

Kiely says it was business as usual despite the lack of a competitive game.

“It was like any other period of time during championship. When you’ve got two weeks off between games you just get on with your training and plow on and try and get ready for the next day out and make sure that you’re ready to push on a bit further the next day.”

Cork have accumulated three points in their opening two contests and currently sit top of the table following a win over Clare and a draw with Tipp.

“They’ve been very impressive. Very good win over Clare above in Cork. Last Sunday, the first half they blitzed Tipperary, if they come out again like that Saturday night it’s going to be a real test for the lads to stay with that pace of a game.” Said Kiely about the defending champions.
