WATCH: John Kiely reflects on Séamus Hickey’s “exemplary career”

Limerick stalwart Seamus Hickey called time on his intercounty career earlier this week after over a decade within the green and white.

Hickey won honours including the Harty and Croke cups, a Fitzgibbon medal, Munster SHC medal and finally landing the biggest prize of them all last August in Croke Park.

Speaking at the launch of the Coop Superstores Munster Senior Hurling League last evening John Kiely paid tribute to Hickey’s “exemplary career”.

“He has had a wonderful long, distinguished career with Limerick, he’s been a great servant for Limerick, he’s played in many positions from full back line, half back line, midfield and half forward. He has nothing to regret in his career”
