WATCH: John Kiely “The trust paid off” Snippet from upcoming Limerick GAA DVD

19 August 2018 is a day that will never be forgotten for the people of Limerick. John Kiely and his squad capped off the most remarkable year to defeat Galway in Croke Park and bring Liam McCarthy back to the county for the first time in 45 years.

With the release of the DVD, “Dreams: An Unforgettable Year”, around the corner we have short clip to get you hyped for its release.

On their way to the Citywest for their post match gala, an emotional John Kiely addressed the squad and staff that made the most unlikely possible.

“The trust paid off. The bond within this bus, within everyone on this bus is just incredible. The respect we have for each other within this bus is just incredible.”

He would go on to outline to the players the importance and significance of their achievements as they stood silent listening to their leader.

He would finish his speech speaking about their accomplishment and the bond that they had created during their journey to becoming champions of Ireland.

“Until the day we die we will have this one link together. That link, that bond, that chain that links us all uniquely together, every one of us and it is so so special.”
