Munster Senior Coach Stephen Larkham has expressed his praise upon departing scrum-half Alby Mathewson, who will leave the province after Saturday’s Champions Cup clash with Racing 92 at Thomond Park on Saturday.
Should the All Black be selected for Munster’s first home European game of the season, the 33-year-old will get to have one final run out in the red jersey.
“We knew when we signed him that this was going to eventuate at some stage, it’s just disappointing that’s it’s happening now.”
“He’s been a massive contributor to the team, he’s on field performances have been amamzing. He’s played for the All Blacks and you can see why.”
