WATCH: Limerick succumb to 6-2 defeat away to Sligo

Limerick FC were beating 6-2 by Sligo Rovers in the Showgrounds on Saturday evening in the second round of the FAI Cup.

Limerick took the lead on 4 minutes through a brilliant goal from Karl O’Sullivan.

The young winger would doube his sides lead just three minutes later with a solo effort that saw him pick up the ball inside his own half before waltzing through the home defence.

However, things would spiral from there on in with Sligo having the game level after a half an hour with Limerick native Ronan Coughlan getting on the scoresheet.

Ultimately the hosts would score six without reply as Limerick finished the game with just 8 players with second half red cards for Sean Kelly, Clyde O’Connell and Jason Hughes.
