Cian Lynch and Roisin Upton have helped to ‘lift the lights’ in Limerick as the festive season approaches.
The Christmas in Limerick season has officially begun with the Christmas lights in the city centre being turned on.
Unfortunately, Limerick’s traditional switching on ceremony was unable to take place, but through the sprinkling of some festive magic, Mayor Daniel Butler had help from local sporting heroes, Olympic hockey player Róisín Upton and hurling legend Cian Lynch to ‘lift the lights’ – magically leading to all the Limerick city centre lights shining brightly!
It promises to be a Christmas to remember for Lynch in particular with the All-Star banquet set for December 10. Lynch is a shoo-in to receive a third All-Star in four years and is heavily favoured to collect a second Hurler of the Year gong.
