WATCH: Earls says “small details” crucial for Munster to defeat Castres

This Sunday Munster will attempt to cement their place on top of pool 2 in the Champions Cup when they play second placed Castres in Thomond Park.

This is followed by a trip to France the following week as the Pools begin to take shape as the knockout stages quickly approach.

Speaking ahead of the game, Keith Earls is confident in his management team that they will have the necessary gameplan to overcome the French side.

“Just trying to find the small bit of detail that might get you a result, a line break or something…I’m sure Felix, Fla and Johann will come up with a couple of plans to breach them and break them down.”

Munster come into the game with the likes of Conor Murray and Chris Farrell recovered from injuries that have seen them miss majority of the season so far.

Alluding to the return of Irish international Farrell, Earls says there is great competition for places in the centre and spoke about the qualiites he brings to the squad.

“Chris brings that size, he’s a 110kg. He can bosh, he’s got feet, he can pass, he can offload like a lot of our lads do but it takes two or three to stop him, frees up the space for us!”
