WATCH: Reaction as Kilmallock win Junior A Huring Championship

After plenty of heartbreak in recent years, Kilmallock were crowned Junior Hurling Champions of Limerick on Saturday after a 0-19 to 0-14 win over Castletown-Ballyagran.

After losing the West final to the same opposition earlier on in the year, former senior stalwart Eoin Ryan says his side had earmarked the rematch well in advanced.

Despite racing into a 0-6 to 0-2 lead, Kilmallock had been pegged back by the the half-time whistle with the sides deadlocked at 0-8 a piece.

The sides would exchange points at the resumption of the half before the Balbec took over.

Six points in a row from Kilmallock had them in a commanding 0-15 to 0-9 lead with fifteen to play.

Ballyagran kept battling to their credit but it would prove too little as Kilmallock’s second team earned promotion to the intermediate ranks for 2020.
