“We will have a rattle and see how we get on” Mungret’s Cian O’Brien ready for PIHC Final

This Sunday evening, the Limerick Premier Interemediate Final will take place between Mungret St Pauls and Kildimo Pallaskenry in the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

The sides met in Round 1 and played out an instant classic with Mungret edging it 1-17 to 1-16 courtesy of a late Rory Duff score.

Team captain, Cian O’Brien sat out the semi-final due to injury but is rearing to go ahead of the final.

“All good. I have had a lot of trouble with my knees and I made the decision. I could have pushed it but i said I’d take the weekend and please God it will be right for Sunday.”

This will be the fourth meeting of the sides since 2018 and O’Brien is expecting it to be as tight as ever come Sunday evening.

“The thinking was that we would meet again. They will be massive favourites but we will have a rattle and see how we get on. Really looking forward to it.”
