LISTEN: Legendary Gerry Webb selects 1-11

Well renowned Limerick soccer man Gerry Webb undertook Sporting Limerick’s challenge of selecting the best 11 players he has coached during an illustrious career in Limerick and Irish soccer. Webb was instrumental in setting up Vereker Clements along with brother Nick in the 1970’s.

In the future, we will be hosting an interview with Gerry to discuss his career in football and the changes in the modern game. For the purpose of this interview, the sole focus was on the selection of his talented team.

We have split the interviews into two sections below where Gerry selects his goalkeeper and defence in the first piece before moving onto midfield and strikers in the second section.
