Adare earn promotion after defeating Galbally in Junior A Camogie Championship final

Adare ended the perfect season by winning promotion to the Intermediate ranks after defeating Galbally in Effin yesterday.

Adare will ply their trade in the Limerick Intermediate Camogie Championship in 2022 after beating Galbally in the Junior final yesterday.

The West side were 2-12 to 1-7 winners in Effin to move into the second tier of Limerick camogie.

Caoimhe Costello had their first scores of the day as they took a 0-3 to 0-1 lead into the first waterbreak.

Aislinn Connolly had their first goal of the game which Costello doubled as Adare moved clear of their opponents.

Galbally hit back with a goal prior to the half but a total of 1-7 from Costello had Adare 2-8 to 1-2 to the good at the short whistle.

The sides exchanged a couple of scores each in the third quarter as Adare took a nine point lead into the final fifteen.

The girls in red and black were able to maintain this to the end to seal their passage to the Intermediate grade.
