Half Forward Line
Continuing the Kilmallock dominance, Micheal Houlihan was the first forward selected on the team. The wing forward beat out Jason Gillane for the #10 jersey, winning 73% of the vote.
Houlihan was the top scorer in the championship with 1-52 to his name, coming in at 11 points per game and is one that could certainly be called into the Limerick set up next month.
His Kilmallock teammate Oisin O’Reilly was unsurprisingly named at centre forward on the team. He beat out Colin Coughlan (28%) and Josh Ryan (7%) by claiming 65% of the votes.
O’Reilly was man of the match in both of Kilmallock’s quarter and semi-final successes and grabbed the crucial goal in the final win over Patrickswell.
Having won an All-Ireland medal in 2018, O’Reilly will be keen on a return to the Limerick set up for 2022 such is his form.
Adam English makes up the half forward line with the teenager impressing in his maiden year at the grade.
The Doon man collected 45% of the vote, beating out All-Ireland winners and All-Star nominees Cian Lynch (33%) and Barry Nash (22%).
English capped off a brilliant year with selection after leading the minors to a Munster title in late 2020 and the the U20s to a provincial final earlier this summer.
