All Ireland winning manager announced as new Na Piarsaigh boss

Michael Ryan has been announced as the new Na Piarsaigh manager and will replace Paul Beary who spent a year in charge of the Caherdavin club.

Ryan comes into the club with a serious pedigree having guided Tipperary to the All-Ireland title in 2016.

He was also in Liam Sheedy’s backroom team when they won the title in 2010.

The side will be coached by former Loughrea and Galway hurler Nigel Shaughnessy and will have clubman PJ Breen as selector.

This will be Na Piarsaigh’s third manager in the past 12 months after Beary replaced Shane O’Neill last March after the All-Ireland Final replay loss to Cuala.

Beary guided the side to their second consecutive County title in 2018 but fell short to Ballygunner in the Munster final where Na Piarsaigh suffered their first ever loss in the Provincial competition.

Under the tutelage of Ryan, Na Piarsaigh will enter the year as heavy favourites to make it three in a row in the county.
