Former All-Ireland winner to take the reigns as Limerick Minor Hurling Manager

Ballybrown native Loftus, replaces Diarmuid Mullins in the U20 gig after three years in charge that yielded a provincial title and an All-Ireland final.

Former All-Ireland winner Shane Dowling has been revealed as the new manager of the Limerick Minor Hurlers for next season.

The Caherdavin native replaces Evan Loftus who moves into the U20 role in the place of Diarmuid Mullins.

Dowling won an All-Ireland with Limerick in 2018 where he scored their third goal en route to ending a 45-year wait for Liam MacCarthy honours. However, he was forced to retire a couple of years later owning to injuries.

He made a return to the club game last year, helping Na Piarsaigh to the Intermediate title and is currently first choice for the senior side.
