Young Munster 27 Nenagh Ormond 24
By Tom Clancy at Thomond Park
Young Munster sealed a hat-trick of Munster Senior Cup titles, and 10 in all, following a come-from-behind win over a gallant Nenagh Ormond.
Despite the Cookies holding fourth spot in Division 1A of the AIL, their Tipperary opponents matched them for so much of this enthralling tie.
Nenagh led 17-10 at half time, and made it 24-10 from the kick off and the shock was on.
Munsters still trailed by the same score with 70 played but with a penalty try and a try from sub James Horrigan. The Hayes conversion tied it up.
Then, after Nenagh hit the post, Hayes nailed a touchline penalty with the very last kick to seal an historic victory.
