Jimmy Lee set to hand two League debuts as he names side for Allianz Football League second round

Lee is set to hand League debuts to two of his Newcastle West charges, with Brian O’Sullivan in line to start at corner-back, and Emmet Ritter named at centre-forward.

Limerick football boss Jimmy Lee has named his team for Saturday’s Allianz Football League second round meeting with Down, set to throw in at 6pm in Pairc Esler.

The Shannonsiders fell to defeat in the opening round, as Antrim swept the hosts aside in Mick Neville Park.

Lee is set to hand League debuts to two of his Newcastle West charges, with Brian O’Sullivan in line to start at corner-back, and Emmet Ritter named at centre-forward.

Aaron O’Sullivan is set to start in goal while Tony McCarthy and Sean O’Dea complete the full-backline in front of him.

Robbie Childs starts as centre-back, with Paul Maher and Colm McSweeney either side of him. Tommy Childs partners Tommy Griffin in a midfield full of running.

Iain Corbett captains the side, named alongside club mate Rigter and Cillian Fahy in the half-forward line, while Barry Coleman and Eoin Hurley complete a full-forward line that features Peter Nash in the corner.
