Limerick FC’s 2019 First Division fixtures revealed

Following relegation from the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division Limerick FC start their life in the second tier of the League of Ireland with a home game against Longford Town on February 22nd.

Tommy Barrett’s side then travel to Bray Wanderers a week later, before home games against Drogheda United and Cobh Ramblers.

The season will finish with a home game against Wexford Town on Friday, September 13th and then an away trip to Shelbourne eight days later.

Limerick have 12 players signed up for next season: Tommy Holland, Shaun Kelly, Killian Brouder, Sean Russell, Robbie Williams, Colm Walsh-O’Loghlen, Adam Foley, Ger Barry, William Fitzgerald, Karl O’Sullivan, Aaron Fitzgerald and Connor Ellis.

Captain for the last number of years, Shane Duggan, has signed for Waterford next season, while Cian Coleman has moved to St Pats.

Billy Dennehy, Kilian Cantwell, Colman Kennedy, Clyde O’Connell, Barry Maguire, Darren Murphy, Eoin Wearen and Danny Morrissey have left the club and are currently unattached.
