Limerick will be looking to make it five successive Munster titles for the first in history next summer.
Reigning Munster and All-Ireland champions Limerick will begin the defence of their titles in Walsh Park in Waterford next spring in the opening round of the provincial championship.
John Kiely’s men will return to the venue for the first time since 2019 with the sequence for the 2023 championship confirmed.
The Shannonsiders will then welcome Clare to the TUS Gaelic Grounds in their first home game of the championship the following week.
Limerick have a bye in round three before traveling to Semple Stadium to take on Tipperary. They then round out their round robin campaign with a home clash with Cork.
Since it’s inception in 2018, Limerick have never failed to make it out of the Munster Championship and into the All-Ireland series. In the maiden year, Kiely’s men finished third, missing out on the provincial final but reaching the All-Ireland series where they went on to claim the Liam MacCarthy.
The following season, Kiely’s side reached the Munster final where they began the first of a four in a row of provincial titles.
A covid shortened season meant the championship reverted to the old knockout format for 2020 and ’21 where Limerick completed the three in a row.
The round robin returned last season with Limerick defeating Clare in the decider before going on to reclaim their All-Ireland title for the third successive year.
