LISTEN: Camogie manager “looking forward to having a crack off Galway on Sunday”

Limerick face Galway this Sunday in Birr in the Littlewoods Camogie League semi-final.

Limerick come into the game as underdogs with their opponents topping thier respective group ahead of current All-Ireland champions Cork.

Yet, Limerick have shown great signs of progression this term and won their opening three games before falling to Kilkenny with a last minute score by the Cats in the Gaelic Grounds.

There was much furore over the upcoming fixture with the time and venue not confirmed until Wednesday evening.

However, for manager Declan Nash, his side have remained focus on the game.

“We haven’t been thinking about where it is going to be on. We’ve just been focusing on what we can control. Whatever else happens, happens.”

Such has been Limerick’s improvement this term, Nash echoed the disappointment of his side after their loss to last years All-Ireland finalists and current league champions Kilkenny last month.

“It’s a huge indication of the hunger and desire that we have in the squad at this moment.

So like I said, they’re looking forward to having a crack off Galway on Sunday.”
