If Kildimo Pallaskenry win, then they will earn promotion to group one at just the second attempt. They currently top the table and a draw would be enough for a quarter-final slot at the least. If they draw and Ballybrown win, then they will miss out on promotion.

Garryspillane need a win to qualify for the quarters but if they secure victory and Ballybrown and Blackrock also win, they will go ahead of KP on head to head and move into the knockout stages.

There is a scenario where Kildimo Pallaskenry, Garryspillane, Ballybrown, South Liberties and Mungret St Pauls all finish on six points which would mean quarter-finals and promotion would be decided on scoring difference.

Kildimo Pallaskenry and Garryspillane met in last year’s County Cup final where the City side came out on top, winning silverware in their first season back in the top tier.

Their previous meeting was the PIHC semi-final in 2018 where Garryspillane were victorious on route to winning the title.
