The battle for the Daly Cup is down to four with both semi-finals to be played this weekend.
Na Piarsaigh remain the team to beat in the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship according to the bookies with the Caherdavin outfit priced at 2/5 to reclaim the title they last won in 2020.
The City side weren’t in action in the semi-finals but have seen their odds slashed to 2/5. Na Piarsaigh have been the bookies favourites from the outset, starting at a price of 4/6 in July.
They return to action this weekend when they take on surprise outfit South Liberties in the first of the weekend’s semi-finals.
South Liberties, despite their impressive Limerick SHC quarter-final win over Patrickswell remain at 20/1 with the stern test of Nap to come. It will be Liberties first semi-final appearance since 1985 where they are priced at 15/2 to upset the odds once again.
Doon and Kilmallock meet in the other semi-final on Sunday with both seeing a fall in their outright odds. Doon were priced at 4/1 prior to their quarter final clash with Kildimo Pallaskenry but despite getting past the challenge of the City side, they have fallen to 8/1.
Kilmallock have seen a slight drop from 11/4 to their current price of 3/1. The defending champions weren’t in quarter-final action with their final round draw with Doon enough to see them into the semi-finals outright. That clash throws in at 3.30pm this Sunday in Bruff.
The Limerick SHC final is set to be played on October 30.
