Sean Finn ruled out for the rest of the season

In a statement on the Limerick GAA website, the news was confirmed.

Limerick will be without All-Star defender Sean Finn for the remainder of the season after the Bruff native suffered an ACL injury on Saturday night. 

Limping off at half time in the defat to Clare, their worst fears were confirmed this week with the scan revealing the dreaded knee injury. 

It is the second ACL injury for Finn who battled back from the setback in 2016, going on to win four successive All-Stars to go with as many All-Ireland medals, playing a starting in role in each.

In a statement on the Limerick GAA website, the news was confirmed:

“The Limerick Senior Hurling Management wish to confirm this evening that Sean Finn suffered an ACL injury on Saturday evening last that will rule him out for the remainder of the season. We wish Sean the very best in his recovery and assure him of our fullest support and expertise on that journey.”

It is a devastating blow for Finn, Limerick and his club Bruff who will also be without their star man for the championship.
