It is a second All-Ireland quarter-final in four years for Limerick.
Twenty four hours before the Senior hurlers play in the All-Ireland final, John Lillis’ senior camogie side will feature in the All-Ireland quarter-final in Thurles.
In a quarter-final double header, Limerick will meet Waterford at 3.15pm in Semple Stadium with the clash of Dublin and Kilkenny to follow.
Ahead of the tie, Lillis has named an unchanged side to the one that beat Antrim in the final round of the group stages.
Marian Quaid captains the side from corner back. She is one of six players who started the quarter-final against Tipperary in 2019. She is joined in that regard by Muireann Creamer, Mairead Ryan, Rebecca Delee, Niamh Ryan and Caoimhe Costello.
The latter was recently named as June’s Player of the Month following her scoring exploits against Down and Offaly.
Limerick began their campaign with successive losses to Kilkenny and Galway before embarking on a three-game winning run that has seen them secure a place in the last six.
Galway and Cork await the winners of Saturday’s games in the semi-finals.
