TEAM | Three changes as Ray Dempsey names side for winner takes all McGrath Cup clash

Limerick will know a win will be enough to see them into Wednesday’s McGrath Cup final against Cork or Clare.

Ray Dempsey has made three changes to the Limerick team to take on Tipperary this Saturday with a place in the McGrath Cup final on offer.

Into the team come Donal O’Sullivan, Iain Corbett and Jack Ryan who makes his full debut after coming on as a substitute against Waterford last week.

Cathal Downes, who hit the target twice in his debut switches into the full forward line with a number of positional changes. Brian Fanning returns to the full back line, Colm McSweeney shifts into midfield while Cian Sheehan starts at #11. Adrian Enright moves out to wing forward.

Aaron O’Sullivan, Gordon Brown and Dara Noonan drop to the bench.

The game has also been changed to a new venue with the astroturf in Fethard now to host owing to weather conditions.

Both will know a win will be enough for a final spot in the McGrath Cup after comprehensive wins over Waterford. Limerick proved too strong for the Deise in Mick Neville Park with a 4-14 to 0-9 victory. Tipp recorded a nine-point win when they met in Dungarvan last weekend.

Tipp have yet to reveal their team for the clash.

For those who cannot travel to Fethard, the game will be streamed live by Munster GAA TV.
