WATCH: Billy Lee reacts as Limerick bow out of 2021 football championship

Limerick are out of the senior football championship after their loss to Cork at the LIT Gaelic Grounds last Saturday. The 0-11 to 1-16 scoreline came as somewhat of a surprise to many, although there were no doubts about Cork’s talents, Limerick’s encouraging performance didn’t garner as many points as they had hoped.

“We certainly had a couple of opportunities that might have closed the gap and give us a bit more momentum, but it wasn’t to be”

Limerick look to capitalise on the positives from their season as they look to rebuild. Lee praised Limerick’s strength and condition staff due to the impact they had on the squads performance over the past season.

“Ability gets you on the dance floor, it’s strength and conditioning and mental capacity that allows you to dance”
