WATCH: Pearse Has High Hopes for Corbally United AFC

Sporting Limerick Soccer Correspondent Adrian Finnin caught up with Corbally United manager Tom Pearse to discuss a variety of subjects including his ambitions for the club, their current performance of the team in Premier A and the future of the current season due to current Covid-19 restrictions.

Pearse was appointed as manager of the former Premier Division club, who last played in the top flight in 2015, in the summer and believes that the club is a sleeping giant among junior clubs. The former Corbally underage manager is hoping to fulfill the potential of the club and return to the Premier Division in two years.

“Looking at it from the outside, it might have seemed like a poison chalice. The guys that went before me did their best with what they had. Either we continued down the same route, don’t change things and hope things like osmosis just change or change things. It started with building a bit of ambition within the junior setup. “
