Aiming for a maiden title at the grade, Limerick had the perfect start with Caitlin Ryan’s goal on the quarter hour mark pushing them 1-3 to 0-1 ahead in Mallow.
Cork responded with a goal of their own to leave it evenly poised at 1-4 to 1-2 at the interval.
But Limerick restricted the Rebels to just one point after the turn of ends with Laura Flynn raising the Treaty’s second green flag on the resumption to ensure the result and history for Limerick.
