Treaty United Drawn against Peamount in FAI Cup

Treaty United Senior Women’s side have been handed the toughest possible draw in the quarter-final of the FAI Cup as they were pitted against current cup holders Peamount United at Jackman Park. All games are due to take place on the week ending September 5th.

Peamount are current Women’s National League holders also and are currently on course to retain their title as they hold a three point lead over rivals Shelbourne with 14 games played. They possess huge quality in the squad including Stephanie Roche, Aine O’Gorman and Karen Duggan as well as several more Irish senior internationals.

Last season, Treaty reached the semi-final of the competition before succumbing to a 2-0 defeat to Cork City at Bishopstown. City eventually lost to Peamount in the decider at the Aviva Stadium. There are 34 points separating the two sides in the league table which shows the challenge which awaits Niall Connolly’s side.
