Treaty United face off with Cork City this Saturday in the first round of the FAI Cup. The game had been scheduled to take place Friday night, but will now be played Saturday at 2.00pm, in the Markets Field.

This year has been a mixed bag for Tommy Barrett’s side, a good run of form was followed by a horrid five game winless run, but they have steadied the ship, and are now unbeaten in their last three.
Enda Curran is in fantastic form for the Shannonsiders, netting in each of the last three games, and the Cork defence will have to be wary of the Galway native.
It is a Cork rear-guard that has leaked nine goals in it’s last five games, albeit at Premier level, but the Leesiders are struggling, and Treaty have a fighting chance.
Only UCD boast a worse Premier record than the Cork outfit, who sit ninth in the table with 23 points from 24 games.
The last time the Leesiders visited Limerick was in June 2022, when they beat Treaty 5-0 in the League of Ireland first Division. The Shannonsiders did manage to beat them 2-0 down in Cork last August, and will be hoping for a similar result tomorrow.
