Treaty United Manager Tommy Barrett looks ahead of his sides clash with Cobh Ramblers in Markets Field tonight, following a two-week break from action.
The Limerick outfit currently sit in fifth in the League of Ireland First Division and have failed to win in their last three outings. However, a draw in the last game against Wexford brought an end to a two-game run of defeats. The fashion in which Barrett’s side rescued a draw in their last fixture should offer the side confidence heading into tonight’s meeting as the point was rescued six minutes from time by Sean McSweeney, illustrating the never say die attitude of the side that have impressed so many so far this season.
Cobh currently sit second from bottom in ninth and will look to move up the table with a win away from home but will be a serious challenge as a refreshed Treaty United side will be looking for their first win in three and what better place to grab it than at home.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Barrett stated:
“Like every team in this league, you have to be at your best and I think that goes for most teams… they’re a dangerous side…well have to be at our best to beat them”.
“You have to be at your best every week to get any kind of result” he added.
“any point we gain is hard earned, Cobh will be a huge challenge for us… we just have to take it game by game”.
