Limerick Ladies Footballers seeking a new manager

“My two years with Limerick LGFA has come to an end. What an enjoyable two years it was, but I won’t be seeking a 2nd term as manager.”

The Limerick Ladies Footballers are on the search for a new manager with outgoing Graham Shine not seeking another term as Bainisteoir.

The Kerry native guided Limerick to an All-Ireland final in August but they lost out to Down by a pair of points in Croke Park.

It was a third final in three years under Shine’s tutelage, however, they couldn’t get over the line in any, losing an All-Ireland, Munster and League final.

Shine announced his decision on his Instagram page on Thursday evening saying,

My two years with Limerick LGFA has come to an end. What an enjoyable two years it was, but I won’t be seeking a 2nd term as manager.

We have had a great two years with some brilliant moments and memories, we got to a National League final, Munster Final, and an All-Ireland final.

I would personally like to thank all the players for all their hard work and dedication to Limerick and to my captain and friend Roisin Ambrose. Thank you for everything. A big thanks to my management team we nearly got there, lads.

Thanks to all the players’ parents for all the kindness and support ye were unbelievable supporters all year.

Limerick LGFA has a special place now in my heart, and I’m sure we will work together again in the future. I have no thought that ye will win the All-Ireland next year.

Regards, Graham

Graham Shine
