A win at home to Kerry last Friday has Treaty victorious in each of their last two league outings but high flying Waterford are unbeaten in their last seven.
Treaty United are back in action on Monday night, as they welcome second place Waterford to the Markets Field.
The visitors are only below table toppers Galway United in the League of Ireland First Division, and have already smashed Treaty 7-0 this season.
The sides also met in April, when Waterford recorded a 4-1 victory with the aggregate score from their two encounters this season reading 11-1 in the favour of Treaty’s Munster rivals.
While the visitors will come into this one as heavy favourites, the stakes are high for Tommy Barrett’s side, who need a result.
This game represents their game in hand, and should they manage to take three points, they will find themselves just two off the playoff positions.
A win at home to Kerry last Friday has Treaty victorious in each of their last two league outings. However, high flying Waterford are unbeaten in their last seven.
While the Monday night fixture poses a tough test for the Shannonsiders, they are able to look to Dean George and Enda Curran for inspiration, who have been in fine form as of late.
Curran was on the scoresheet in the win over Kerry, and is the side’s top scorer, while George has consistently found himself in the goals throughout August.
Kick-off in the Markets Field is at 7:45pm on Monday evening, with tickets available here.
